Photo : MELCCSince the early 1980s, Québec has made a determined effort to prevent the pollution of rivers and lakes by phosphorus. Since phosphorus is the prime culprit in the eutrophication of lakes, it is essential that phosphorus inputs into bodies of water be carefully controlled in all areas of human activity.
